A TALK WITH THE MIND — (POEM)

While going through the mundane routine of life,
Something that just caught my sight,
A continuous stream of clouds flowing,
unobserved, continuous, ever blowing
It was the same old mind,
working silently without knowing
I have never really talked with you,
Have I?
Hey Mind! What a mystery you are
A silent devil, invisible and bizarre

Okay, so tell me,
Storage of memories, factory of emotions,
Generator of thoughts, who are you?
Can you tell me,
why you constantly chatter in my head!
Can;t you keep quite,
I really envy your energy you have!
but I still didn;t get,
why do you even exist at all!
and very irritating sometimes,
You just can’t be controlled.
And talking about “Dreams”,
how do you even make those,
What were you, a movie director, in your last birth
And now about last birth, please spill the beans
I know you know all my previous births

Sometimes so creative, sometimes so dull
You only work on your own will
The same routines which keep you grounded,
The same routine you tend to resist.
But, what;s your source of energy
where do you bring all these thoughts from?
You know, life would be so much better,
If there was a button to switch you on and off

And then the paradox I observe,
Without you, how I would even be writing these words
You create the game, and then try hard to win it,
You create the hunger, and create the bread
The Maya you create seem to have no end
Without the memories you store,
WHO AM I?
Without the identity you give,
WHO AM I?
Without you, WHO AM I?
Hey Mind! What a mystery you are
A silent devil, invisible and bizarre
